Studies
The Institute of Lithuanian Literature and Folklore conducts third degree (doctoral) studies in philology and ethnology as well as postdoctoral internships.
 
Based on the Lithuanian Government’s Resolution No. 1285, made effective on October 13, 2004, the Institute of Lithuanian Literature and Folklore, in cooperation with Vilnius University, has been granted the right to conduct doctoral studies: to organize philological doctoral studies on Lithuanian literature and folklore and issue the academic degree of Doctor.
 
Based on the Lithuanian Government’s Resolution No. 1019, made effective on June 8, 2011, the Institute of Lithuanian Literature and Folklore, in cooperation with Vilnius University and the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, has been granted the right to conduct doctoral studies: to organize ethnological doctoral studies and issue the academic degree of Doctor.
 
Since 2022, the Institute works together with the Education Exchanges Support Foundation to expand the academic scope of its activities. It organizes courses on Lithuanian language and culture for teachers and students from foreign universities and institutes. Following the foundation’s programs, the Institute will offer these courses until March 5, 2025.
