LLTI elektroninis katalogas

The main electronic catalog was launched in 1998. It contains books in the Latin alphabet that have been added to the library since 1998. More than half of the descriptions from the main card catalog collection have also been entered into the catalog. The catalog is constantly updated with descriptions of newly acquired books and previously acquired books that are relevant to readers. Currently, it consists of 3,890 bibliographic records and 60,327 copies of publications.

If you cannot find the publication you are looking for in the electronic catalog, search for it in the card catalogs and request it the traditional way by filling out a request slip.

LLTI mokslo publikacijų duomenų bazė

Every year, the institute’s bibliographic database is updated with scientific publications released in the previous year, previous entries are edited, and researcher profiles are maintained. The database was first established in 2006. A total of 4,160 bibliographic records of scientific publications have been entered.

To log in, enter your LLTI library reader e-form number (e.g., LLTI-13) in the User ID field of the login window, and enter only numbers (e.g., 13) in the Password field.

LLTI bibliotekos rankraščių katalogas

Started in 2009. Entries include: Bibliographic records from the manuscript collections of Kazys Būga, Vaclovas Biržiška, Kristijonas Donelaitis, Ričardas Gavelis, Eduardas Mieželaitis, Vincas Maciūnas, Alfonsas Maldonis, Simonas Daukantas, and Jonas Basanavičius (excluding letters), as well as the Lithuanian Writers’ Association collection. The catalog already contains 6,098 bibliographic records.

LLTI bibliotekos rankraštyno skaitmeninių Vaizdų duomenų bazė

This database contains digitized documents from the Library’s manuscript and photo collections. Development of the database began in 2022, modeled after a similar digital image database of the Folklore Archives’ manuscript collection. Material from part of the collections (metadata records and images) digitized and described during the VEPS-3 project has been converted; the data entry program has been adapted to the library’s cataloging needs, and an information search system has been created. Work continues according to the established document digitization plan. Currently, the database contains over 1,000 metadata records and approximately 26,000 images. Images are provided in JPEG format; users may only view the items for research or educational purposes. To obtain a higher-quality image or to publish it, written permission from the LLTI director is required.

The rights to copy and use electronic documents are protected by the Law on Copyright and Related Rights of the Republic of Lithuania (LR Autorių teisių ir gretutinių teisių įstatymas).

If you cannot find a book in the electronic catalog, please check the card catalog. The library has:

• the original catalog of books from the Lithuanian Scientific Society

• a catalog of periodicals

• an alphabetical and subject-based catalog of manuscripts

• a photo file

• a file of cartographic publications

• a file of small prints
