Subscription Databases for Virtual Users via the LNB

If you are a registered user of the LNB (Lithuanian National Martynas Mažvydas Library), you can access foreign databases subscribed to by the LNB remotely from outside the library. Access to subscribed databases and their collections was provided using funds from the EU Structural Funds project “eMoDB.LT3: Opening Electronic Research Databases to Lithuania – Phase Three”, implemented by the Lithuanian Research Library Association. In the fall of 2021, the Ministry of Education, Science, and Sports of the Republic of Lithuania allocated 5 million euros for scientific database subscriptions.

With these funds, 78 scientific databases were subscribed to for LMBA members. LMBA members contributed 23% of the cost through co-financing.

EBSCO Publishing – a package of full-text scientific article databases offered to Lithuania as a participant in the EIFL project. New addition – the Academic Search Ultimate database.

This is an expanded version of the Academic Search Complete database, supplemented by a collection of over 3,000 full-text journals. This multidisciplinary academic database covers a wide range of disciplines: social sciences, humanities, education, computer science, engineering, physics, chemistry, language and linguistics, art and literature, medicine, ethnic studies, and more.
